間接かんせつ疑問ぎもん文ぶんと時制じせいの一致いっち

この章しょうで学まなぶこと

「彼かれはどこに住すんでいますか」 (Where does he live?) を、 「彼かれがどこに住すんでいるか 知しっていますか」 (Do you know where he lives?) のように、 別べつの文ぶんの中なかに組くみ込こむのが 間接疑問文かんせつぎもんぶん です。

• 疑問ぎもん文ぶんが 文ぶんの一部いちぶ になると語順ごじゅんが 平へい叙じょ文ぶん (主語しゅご + 動詞どうし) に戻もどる
• do / does / did は消きえる
• yes / no 疑問ぎもん文ぶんを組くみ込こむ時ときは if / whether (〜 かどうか)
• 主節しゅせつが過去かこ形けいなら従属節じゅうぞくせつも過去かこ形けいに → 時制の一致じせいのいっち

ポイント: 間接かんせつ疑問ぎもん文ぶん = 疑問詞ぎもんし + 主語しゅご + 動詞どうし の順じゅん 。 「疑問ぎもん文ぶんを普通ふつうの文ぶんの中なかに入いれるとき、 形かたちを整ととのえ直なおす」 と覚おぼえる。

1. 間接かんせつ疑問ぎもん文ぶんの形かたち

直接ちょくせつ疑問ぎもん文ぶん → 間接かんせつ疑問ぎもん文ぶん

変換へんかんルール

1. 疑問詞ぎもんし (where, what, who, when, why, how 等とう) はそのまま残のこす
2. 後うしろは 主語しゅご + 動詞どうし の平叙へいじょ文ぶんの順じゅん
3. do / does / did は消けす。 一般いっぱん動詞どうしは 三さん単たん現げんの s や 過去かこ形けい を動詞どうし自じ体たいに戻もどす
4. be 動詞どうしは 主語しゅごの後うしろ に戻もどす

3. yes / no 疑問ぎもん文ぶん → if / whether

疑問詞ぎもんしがない (yes / no で答こたえる) 疑問ぎもん文ぶんを間接かんせつ疑問ぎもん文ぶんにする時ときは、 if か whether (= 〜 かどうか) を使つかいます。

Is he a teacher?	I don't know if he is a teacher.
Does she like sushi?	Tell me whether she likes sushi.
Did you finish the work?	I want to know if you finished the work.
Will it rain tomorrow?	I'm not sure whether it will rain tomorrow.

大事だいじ: 疑問詞ぎもんしあり → その疑問詞ぎもんしを使つかう、 疑問詞ぎもんしなし → if / whether。

4. 時制じせいの一致いっち

主節しゅせつ (= 文ぶんの中心ちゅうしんとなる動詞どうし) が 過去かこ形けい になった時とき、 従属節じゅうぞくせつ (that 節ザットせつや間接かんせつ疑問ぎもん文ぶん) の動詞どうしも 過去かこ形けいにそろえる ルールを 「時制の一致じせいのいっち」 と言いいます。

主節しゅせつが現在げんざい → 従属節じゅうぞくせつそのまま

時制じせいの一致いっちをしない例外れいがい。

「彼かれが来くるかどうか私わたしにはわからない。」 → I don't know if (whether) he will come.
