although / though / even though / even if

「〜 だが / 〜 であっても」 を表あらわす譲歩じょうほの接続詞せつぞくしには、 事実じじつか仮定かていかの違ちがいがあります。

具体ぐたい例れいとして Even though he is rich, he is not happy. (= 実際じっさいに金持かねもち) と Even if he is rich, 〜 (= 仮かりに金持かねもちでも) は、 「金持かねもちが事実じじつかどうか」 で区別くべつします。

試験しけんでは even though (事実じじつ) ⇔ even if (仮定かてい) の区別くべつが頻出ひんしゅつ。 また though は文末ぶんまつで 「でも」 と副詞ふくし的てきにも使つかえる。
