be glad/sure/sorry that 〜

be 動詞どうし + 感情かんじょうを表あらわす形容詞けいようし + that 節ザットせつ で「〜で〜の気持きもちだ」を表あらわします。

形容詞けいようし + that	意味いみ	例れい
be glad that 〜	〜でうれしい	I'm glad that you came.
be sure that 〜	〜と確信かくしんしている	I'm sure that he will pass.
be sorry that 〜	〜で残念ざんねん・申もうし訳わけない	I'm sorry that I'm late.
be afraid that 〜	〜ではないかと心配しんぱいだ	I'm afraid that it will rain.

たとえば I'm happy that you like it.（気きに入いってくれてうれしい）のように使つかいます。that は省略しょうりゃくできます。

ポイント 不定詞 の 副詞用法ふていしのふくしようほう の「glad to 〜」（〜してうれしい）と同おなじ気持きもちを、that 節ふしでも表あらわせる（glad that 〜）。
